Is it safe to store passwords on your phone?
Safer than notes or paper, as long as the vault is encrypted and your phone has a screen lock. KEYLUN encrypts the vault with AES-256-GCM, and the key sits in Android Keystore, working only on an unlocked phone after you confirm. No password manager can promise full protection on a rooted or compromised device.
Where should I store passwords if not in the cloud?
In a local password manager. KEYLUN keeps the vault on your phone only — no account, no sync and no servers of ours. The contents of your vault never travel over the network.
Does KEYLUN work offline?
Yes. The vault, the generator and unlocking all work fully offline. The network is used only by Google Play, to buy KEYLUN Pro or support the developer.
Do I need a master password?
There's no separate master password. The vault opens with whatever unlocks your phone: biometrics, PIN, pattern or password. You can also set a backup passphrase of at least 12 characters as a fallback.
Does KEYLUN autofill passwords in other apps?
No, KEYLUN has no autofill service. You can view a password in SAFE mode or copy it briefly in COPY mode — KEYLUN then tries to clear the clipboard after 15 seconds.
How do I move my passwords to a new phone?
Export the vault to an encrypted .klx file and import it on the new device — this is a KEYLUN Pro feature. The file is protected by an export password of at least 10 characters. Android's system backup doesn't carry the vault over.
What happens if I reset my phone or turn off the screen lock?
The vault key is tied to your phone's security. If that becomes unavailable, the vault opens only with your backup passphrase or from an export file. Without them your passwords can't be recovered — we have no access to your data or keys.
How do I create a strong password?
Open a new entry and use the generator: choose a length from 12 to 48 characters and the character sets — upper and lower case, digits, symbols. Use a different password for every site; KEYLUN remembers them all for you.
